T.O.M.I.E (The Only Meet Is Essex)

T.O.M.I.E is a brand new show for 2014 and as it was just down the road from me at the Orsett showground it would have been rude not to have paid a visit.
Held over the May bank holiday 2/3/4 and 5th with advanced tickets at only £12.50 and under 16's going free meant a bargain four day VW holiday!
The show had entertainment a plenty, live bands as well as Dj's and karaoke,  kids entertainment  included bouncy castle and go karts.
Traders on site were selling all the usual stuff like kites, flags, tee's and hats. and plenty too choose from in the food department.
Numbers of visitors or show cars on site weren't huge (not helped by Stanford Hall being on the same weekend) but with the friendly, helpful organisers and security, being on such a beautiful and large showground, I can see "The Only Meet Is Essex" going from strength to strength!

Anyway have a look at the pics below.

Elemental 9

It's been a bit hectic at team Volksbuster, what with moving house, crewing at Elemental 9 then going on a cheeky holiday the day after that. It wasn't until I got to the Crouch Valley showground that I realised that my camera was still packed away in a box after the house move!!
Still, lucky for me Kieron Davey stepped up to the mark to help us out at the last minute.
To top it all off we've been without an Internet connection for the last three weeks, hence this report being a tad late, sorry.

So, it was that time of year again...12th April 2014 and the Elemental Show at Crouch Valley Showground in Essex. Last year's freak weather two days before the show meant that the organisers had cunningly arranged two potential layouts. As mother nature smiled on us all, plan A was used. This was an improved layout that boasted a square arena surrounded by traders, as well as plenty of camping and a huge car park for the day visitors. As always, the team put on a highly professional show that was extremely well attended and with visitors coming from far and wide. The auto jumble was bigger and better than ever, with an array of rusty bits for perusal. The music and entertainment were again just right for the festival atmosphere. The whole show has an air of relaxed fun about it that makes it a must for many dubbers and the show and shine bore testament to that, with some truly stunning examples If you have never been, you should make a point of going along in 2015. If you have been, we're sure you will be back.
